
Mercy High School’s Forensic Team is a member of the Detroit Catholic Forensic League, competing in the categories of Oral Interpretation, Dramatic Duo, Dramatic Performance, Oratorical Declamation, Original Oratory and Extemporaneous Speaking.
Students on the team are sophomores, juniors and seniors who have completed Speech and Oral Interpretation. An audition is held in January of each year for the team members. Mrs. Kathy Sill coaches the award-winning team. Over the past several years, the team has won medals and trophies at the national level. In 2005, a team member advanced to become one of the six finalists in the nation at the Grand National Tournament.
