Mercyaires

The Mercyaires is a singing and dancing troupe of the Performing Arts Department that was established in 1961. In the 48 year history of the group, the Mercyaires have performed throughout the Metro-Detroit area at community events, charity affairs, elementary schools, senior citizen homes, and school activities, including Open House and the annual Auction. The group consists of sophomores, juniors and seniors who audition in late April for the following school year.

Expectations:

  • All Mercyaires must be enrolled in the Concert Chorale class.
  • All Mercyaires must attend a week-long Mercyaire camp in mid August to prepare for the season.
  • All rehearsals are mandatory after school.
  • All performances are mandatory.
  • All Mercyaires pay for their own costumes and an activity fee.
