Welcome toMom to Mom! This section is designed to answer commonly asked questions that are asked either to the Mothers Club or to the school repeatedly over the years in one form or another. The purpose is to provide information to each Mercy family as they transition from one high school year to the next.
Please look below to see if your question is among the questions asked. If not, you are more than welcome to send your questions, or even answers that you may have, to the Mothers Club and we will try our best to pass along any information we come across! These questions can be about anything regarding your daughter's high school years that another mom can help you with. Simply email apetrucci83@gmail.com with your question.
QUESTIONS:
Q: HOW CAN WE VOLUNTEER?
A: There are numerous way to volunteer. You can choose to volunteer as much or as little as you like. First thing you want to do is to check out our webpage under the heading “Activities”. This will give you a detailed description of all of the committees and the type of help that they will be needing. Second, you can sign up through our online form, mail-in form, or just bring it with you to our first Mothers Club Meeting in September. You can mail the form to the school and put down ATTN: Moms Club. Our Volunteer Coordinator for 2011-2012 will be Debbie Padalis (dmpadalis@aol.com) and she will be sure to pass on your form to the appropriate committee (or committees) head.
Q: CAN THE MOTHERS CLUB OR THE SCHOOL HOST A GRADUATION DRESS RESALE?
A: Since most girls end up wearing their white graduation dresses only once, there has been quite an interest to resell the dresses used. There has also been interest from some of the Moms to take responsibility for the event themselves. The Mothers Club and the school have talked about this in depth many times and have come to the conclusion that it is an event that just cannot be accommodated, even if someone is willing to host it.
Since we are dealing with dresses (rather than books for example), it becomes more challenging to have this type of event because we have to factor in space to hold the dresses, dressing rooms to try them on, the ability to keep them completely clean, and so on. In addition, since most girls have already left for college, it becomes even more difficult to manage.
The Mothers Club is willing to try to help families find dresses by providing information from last year’s Senior Class. CLICK HERE for contact information (in no particular order) that is categorized by dress size from families who would like to sell their graduation dresses. If you are interested in purchasing a dress, then you may contact them directly. We wish you the best of luck!
